The User Interface Document The project life cycle begins with the Defining Phase. During this phase we will work together to create the User Interface Document (UID). Once the UID is completed it becomes the handbook for your web site. It will define the expected behaviors of your web site and describe the user interactions as they traverse through the site. The UID will be accessible for review through your Client Login. At this point you should have already decided on a Domain Name. It is not necessary to have registered the Domain Name - though it is highly recommend that you register your Domain Name as soon as you select it. You will need to have your Domain Name registered before you can begin the Delivery Phase of your project lifecycle. This phase will require the most time from you, the client. As the Defining Phase progresses, revisions will be made to the UID until we have reached the final draft. The Designing Phase will begin once you have accepted and signed off on the final draft of the UID. Once the UID has been accepted, it can only be changed through a Change Request. The Change Request form will be accessible through your Client Login. Please note: a Change Request can impact project estimates and deadlines. The Project Timeline During the Defining Phase we will also create a Project Timeline. This timeline will document all of the minor and major milestones for your project. As the project progresses through the project lifecycle the Project Timeline will be updated with deadlines and any additional milestones. The Project Timeline will be accessible for review through your Client Login. High Level Design Document The last part of the Defining Phase will include the creation of a High Level Design (HLD) Document. The HLD will be accessible for review through your Client Login. The HLD will act as a blue print for the visual layout of your site. |
