Designing Phase

The Project Design Document The second phase of the project lifecycle is the Designing Phase. During this phase we will create the Project Design Document (PDD). The PDD will take the High Level Design Document from the Defining Phase and expand on it to create specific visual elements such as the color palette, font palette, imagery and logo creation (if necessary). You will receive the PDD in the form of a style guide in your deliverables package at the conclusion of the Delivery Phase.

The PDD will also involve the creation of a flow chart mapping out your entire web site. This is where the information architecture of your site is established. Working together we will finalize what information is to be presented on your site and the best way to present it. All of the content for your project is due at the conclusion of this phase. The PDD will be accessible for review through your Client Login.

The Development Phase will begin once you have accepted and signed off on the final draft of the PDD. Sign off cannot occur until we have all of the content for your web site. Once the PDD has been accepted, it can only be changed through a Change Request. The Change Request form will be accessible through your Client Login. Please note: a Change Request can impact project estimates and deadlines.
